Men's Ministry
LLCC Men’s Ministry Vision & Values Statement
The LLCC Men's Ministry vision is for men to be U-S-E-D by God for His Glory (worship):
Uniting all men to serve God through evangelism;
Supporting men in a growing relationship with Jesus Christ (fellowship);
Equipping men for an eternal legacy as Disciples of Jesus Christ (service).
Developing the personal skills necessary for men to be the spiritual leaders of their families & church (discipleship);
To accomplish this vision, we value:
- Growth -- increasing our knowledge and appreciation of our Lord Jesus Christ and understanding our role in the church, our families, community and work (Colossians 1:9-12);
- Relationships – connecting with and forming lifelong bonds with our brothers in Christ (Philippians 2:1-3);
- Outreach – reaching-out and touching our community with God’s love through service and various men’s activities (1 Peter 4:10-14).
We support this through various activities for men (See right column for more details).
- Men's Wake Up Call -- Thursday mornings, 6:30 am at Shari's restaurant on Sullivan.
We are currently studying the book of Proverbs. Each person is leading the discussion each week as we work through the 31 chapters of Proverbs. Meetings are suspended for the summer. We will reconvene after Labor Day.
The next BWC is planned for Saturday August 14, 2010. Stay tuned for more information!!
Volunteer to be a Team Captain! Contact any Men's Ministry Council member.
- Hurts, Habits, Hang-ups -- Individual mentoring for personal issues or addictions
- Valentine Dessert -- Valentine's Day celebration honoring our women.
For 2010, it was decided to forego this event -- maybe in 2011.
